Mentor247 was created by experienced mentors who have helped hundreds of people improve their lives. So, we know that great feeling of helping others, and we know what it feels like to need and get help. Mentor247 was created to help people get the guidance and answers that they need, and help mentors do what they love – share their knowledge and help others!

Having the right mentor is crucial, which is why we make sure that we only work with, and have listed, the best mentors from around the world.
We are personally in touch with each mentor before listing them and review each profile. We also closely follow all reviews and feedback given by users to make sure that the mentors provide the quality of service that we expect. If a mentor receives low reviews, they are first reviewed by one of our team members, and if this happens again, they are removed. We are happy to say that this has yet to happen!
Nevertheless, we do not run a full background check on mentors and cannot guarantee that they have the professional background or experience that they claim to have. Mentor’s advice should not replace the advice of licensed professionals such as lawyers, doctors, psychiatrists etc – if this is the type of advice you need. Don’t hesitate to contact us if you feel that the service you received was not to your satisfaction.
All our mentors are required to agree to our Terms of Use (TOU) and Privacy Policy (PP) before listing on our website. These include a strict obligation to maintain confidentiality of the sessions and your privacy. Nevertheless, we advise that you only share information that you feel comfortable sharing.
That’s a great question. We suggest that you start by selecting the relevant category. Then, select a few mentors and read their about them (all our mentors share their experience and professional backgrounds). We also advise watching the personal videos that almost all our mentors have uploaded. all our mentors love what they do, are professional, and experienced, but at the end of the day, it’s all about feeling that special connection.
PayPal + most credit cards (through PayPal’s payment system). You do not need to have a PayPal account and don’t need to open one (just click “Skip” on the payment page). In the near future we will be integrating additional payment methods.

Yes.
Cancellations up to 24 hours before the session = full refund (minus any payment transfer fees).
Cancellations less than 24 hours before the session, and up to 3 hours before = 50% refund (minus any payments transfer fees)
Cancellations less than 3 hours before the session = no refund.

While we understand the need to reschedule sometimes, and out of respect to our mentors, if you reschedule a session (that has already been rescheduled before) less than 24 hours in advance, or reschedule a session for the third time (even if you do so 24 hours in advance), you will charged 50% of the session fee.

When you book a session, our website creates a user account for you. You can login here: https://mentor247.co/customer-panel/ . If you don’t remember your login details, you can click “Forgot Password?” and then add your email address. You will then receive a link with details on how to update your password and login.
Although this is a common question, the answer depends on the type of mentoring you selected (startup advice versus astrology…), the specific mentor, how many sessions you purchased (one or many) and other factors. It also depends on your needs.
If you purchased more than one session, then usually, at least part of the first session will be getting to know you. If you only booked once session, this part will be shorter. The second step is understanding your needs, or the challenge you’re facing. Once this is clear, the mentor will either listen to you and get more details, or try give you the answers and advice that you need.
At the end of the day, the sessions are what you will make of them, so we advise that at the beginning of the session, you politely tell the mentor what type of help you’re looking for.
This really depends on your personal needs. If you have a very specific and relatively easy to solve challenge, then one session may be enough. On the other hand, if it is something that you’ve been dealing with for a while, or something that takes regular process to achieve, then it would best to have ongoing support and mentoring.
From our experience, most users who purchased just one session usually return and purchase another. Additionally, most of our mentors offer a discount for packages, so this works out cheaper.
The length of each session depends on the mentor and the sessions being offered. Usually, sessions will be 15, 30, 45, 60 or 90 minutes long – with most of them taking 30 or 60 minutes. It is almost impossible to give you a meaningful answer in less than 15 or 30 minutes and this is only possible for very specific questions/issue.
This is an excellent question but also a very personal one because each person’s challenges and progress is different. Some challenges can be solved in one short session, others may require a few mentoring sessions, or even 10.
A few important aspects that you can check are:
1. Have you received the answers you needed?
2. Have you achieved any of the goals that you set?
3. Are you feeling better?
4. Have you improved your performance or the way you do things?
5. Do you feel encouraged?
This is extremely rare, but if this does happen, please notify us immediately through our contact page and include your full name, the mentor’s full name and screenshots. If the session doesn’t take place, you will receive a full refund.
We currently use Google Meet. This is free to use, and you do not need to install anything. You will receive a link to once you book a session.
If you booked a session for a date which is less than 24 hours away, or it is now 24 hours before the session, and you still haven’t received an email with a link, please contact us (https://mentor247.co/contact/) and let us know the full name of the mentor and the date and time of the session.
If you want to make the most of your session, we advise doing the following:
Make sure that you will be in a quiet place, with good lighting and a strong internet connection.
Close any programs that you don’t need and make sure that your speakers, camera and microphone work.
Write down 2-3 questions/topics that you want to discuss with the mentor.

No, you don’t. All the sessions take place through online video chat, so there is really no need to provide your phone number. Only share personal information that you feel comfortable sharing.

Mentor247 is a unique platform (created by experienced mentors) aimed at connecting people with the best mentors around. Users search for relevant mentors, and once they’ve found a good match, they book a session. The session take place via Google Meets (at the moment. We’re working on integrating additional methods). On the professional level: Set clear expectations, listen, show empathy, collect the information that you need, and guide the mentees to their goals or with the challenges they’re facing.
You do. For some categories we will have minimum session rates, and in some cases we will advise you what is the advised rate, or suggest that you create packages (with a discount for each session) – these will benefit both you and the users. But again: you decide.
Yes. At the moment this is something that we do in the backend, so just reach out and let us know what you want to change. Soon you’ll be able to do this in your profile.
Mentors get paid (via PayPal) by the 10th of the month for sessions given (and paid for by the users) during the previous month. For the payment to apply, you need to reach a minimum amount of $300. If a user opened a dispute/complaint regarding a specific session, the amount due for that session will be kept on hold until the dispute/complaint has been decided on by us.
We charge 30% from each session, or package of sessions, booked through the website. This fee is used for marketing the website (which then brings you more sessions) and to maintain the high level of support for both the mentors and users.
You decide how much time you want to make available and although there isn’t a formal minimum, because we only work with a selected number of mentors, we expect mentors to make open a fair amount of time slots per week.
Yes, you can cancel a session up to 24 hours before the scheduled time, but please note that mentors that cancel more than 2 sessions or reschedule too many sessions (in a relatively short period), may be removed from the website.
Login to your account (here: https://mentor247.co/mentor-panel/), and then you will see a tab called “Sessions”. There you will be able to see all your booked sessions. You can then click on the little pencil (on the right of the relevant session) and edit the session details. Be sure that the “Notify the customers” at the bottom right is marked so the customer will receive a message about the change.
It’s important to connect your Google Calendar because this helps avoid double bookings. You can do this by signing into your mentor profile, and then clicking on the button “Sign In with Google” (located just to the right of the “Google Calendar” field.
Users may cancel a session up to 24 hours before the scheduled session time at no charge.
